looking for Vallejos in New Zealand? or anywhere else for that matter!

I recently bought a set of Flames Of War Miniatures (out of New Zealand) paints and the early boxings are Vallejo Model Colours labeled, the newer ones are relabeled Flames of War but are still Vallejo. The only reasons I mention this is they're a cost savings over the individual Vallejos and the sets are "themed" for use. HTH

Regards,
Gary D.

Your in NZ?? LOL!!

July 3 2009, 12:00 PM

Hey there Gary,

Not sure what the colors are, but I know that Vallejo does a Game Color line, but I think it is more geared towards Warhammer and such as it has colors like Elfic Flesh and Chainmail Armor.

Being that it is Flames of War and WWII based....I am wondering if maybe the NZ version of the paints aren't the Panzer Aces paint that we have here in NA.

Send me an e-mail with some of the color names, they may actually be the same. I don't see anything on Vallejo's website about them.....so it could be.

If so, I carry the whole Panzer Aces line here.

Later
Scott

picked them up in a gaming store in Hamilton, Ont.

July 4 2009, 10:09 AM

But the Flames Of War website lists a long line of shops in North America and other locations carrying their items. I picked up the "Desert Rats" paint set which has the following:

70819 Iraqi Sand
70847 Dark Sand
70884 Stone Grey
70897 Bronze Green
70921 English Uniform
70988 Khaki

All are from the Model Color line in the 17ml bottles and the images on the box of the Vallejo bottles caught my eye, then I saw the price! works out to well over a dollar savings per bottle.

Regards,
Gary D.

How much for the 6 bottles??

July 6 2009, 11:10 PM

I have never seen these packaged that way, maybe something Flames of War are doing themselves?? Definitely not a Vallejo Factory set.

Would be interested in how much they are charging per set
