When Tasca came out with a couple of 1/24 scale panzer kits I was hoping that 1/24 would be the new big thing. Sadly that doesn't seem to be the case. Does anyone know if any other manufacturers are planning on releasing 1/24 scale armour kits or is 1/24th dead?
I build the Panzer II (thanks for the trade Chris) and found the scale to be a lot of fun, sort of a happy medium between 35th and 16th. Agree with the others ... would love to see more, Sherman, Luchs, M3 or M5... There was rumor that an M5 had been planned by Tasca but this has not materialized. Hope is fading as the Motorcycle has been "TBA" for a long, long time.
Yeah it's 1/25. But it is nicely done. I'm updating a Tamiya Panther A with Academy Panther G parts. Looking Good. You know Aber makes some real nice etch for the Pz.II and the Panther kits. I recently picked up a Kubelwagen and it had a nice assortment of weapons, Jerry Cans and a decent figure.
I would also love to see a Luchs in any large scale!!!!!!!!
Take a look at Kit Form Services website www.kitformservices.com, Howard's got an expanding range of 1/24th models, all top notch. They are all British post war topics at the mo, but easily some of the best quality kits you can buy, all masters by David Jane.
