The quality level of the entries was as good as ever and the venue quite crowded, especially on Saturday.
Compared to last year, the AFV vignette class regained its old strenth, with many master pieces and well deserved awards.
In stark contrast, the judging of the "single military vehicle kit" class was rather erratic and in many cases inconsistent. The competition display got significantly thinned out by twelve o clock on Sunday, because some contestants removed their entries prematurely, presumably out of frustration over the judging. It is the first time this happened since 2007, when I first attended the show.
Once the official medal list is out, a discussion of the judging criteria by poeple with more background knowledge than myself is in order.
