Thoughts on converting Dragon WWII figures to 1960's NATO?

Greetings,

Does anyone have thoughts on converting any of Dragon's WWII figures into NATO troops from the 1950's to 1960's or 1970's? The figures I thought might have potential are the Gebirgsjager (set #6517), or other winter grenadier sets, and the late war US sets, like the Advance to the Rhine or airborne figures. I'm looking of figures that would fit in with a winter scene around a YPR 765, or M113.
