Whatever the terminology, it still means that S&T figures aren't available to me and anyone who wants them, and haven't been readily available for years. Unfortunately that means people have limited choices. They get into crazy bidding wars on e-bay for real S&T figs and pay 2,3 or 4 times what the figure should cost, they do without, or they buy repops. Until S&T is releasing their figs again, its not going to be any different. If S&T were producing figs, I would have no problem at all paying full retail for the real thing and would ignore the re-casts. I think people that buy recasts are aware of the shortcomings that you mention, but when its the only thing available, you take what you can get. However, if I want one now or for the foreseeable future, and don't want to wait until whenever it is Mr. Sullivan decides they are no longer on hiatus, I will take what is available to me. When S&T is back "in business" or back from hiatus, I will gladly buy their figures again. I haven't actually bought any of the recast figs since none of the ones they are selling are ones that I want. The repops won't go away when/if S&T is making theirs again, but I think they will be a whole lot less popular, since the choice will no longer be cheaper repop vs. rare and VERY expensive real thing.
