Dear Friends,

Recently I finished a Panzer II in Kharkov, you can see it in this link:

To accompany it, I decided to include one of this Verlinden Classic and nice figure kit:

For prepare it, I add a Tamiya's MP-40 and shovel, both very fine and accurate for the scale, the rest is from the original Verlinden kit, only needs a few of putty in the joint in the trousers with the parka, and this is ready to paint.

After a black primmer, I start to paint it with airbrush, all the uniform is fieldgrey, and in this case, this is a great way to do it, I use the Andrea's set of Fieldgrey, and with this base color paint it the base color:

For the lights and shadows, I use the specific colors in the set, for lights I airbrush from above, and the same way for the shadows from below.
Finally I retouch all with the paintbrush, in the trousers I apply two filters to change the colors with the Parka wih earth colors. The face is paint with Vallejo acrylics:

The equipment is paintd also with Velljo acrylics:

It's important to try distinguish the different materials, like leather, metal or cloths.

The MP40, was painted with humbrol Black Matt and burnished with graphite powder, for finnish I apply two washes with black acrylic ink:
