Hi guys,

Something a little different I entered for this years IMSS competition. Last year was a scratch built Foreign Legionnaire, this year a Dark Angels Space Marine in power armour. Scale is about 120mm approx, hard to scale these dudes!

Here is the photos of the full sculpt of the Marine and chaos casualty:

Hope you like it.

Nice Job Glen,
yes they are tough to scale out, IIRC aren't they supposed to be genetically engineered to be 7' or so?

Regards,
Gary D.

Scale....

June 21 2009, 11:08 PM

Hi Gary,

Even more than 7' going by the Novels descriptions in the 40k universe. The average character/soldier seems to only reach chest level in a lot of anecdotes, and a lot of these 'other characters' would be big dudes themselves. While the Marine is 120mm I have scaled the Cultist at 90mm to reflect this genetic enhancement, and the fact my Marine is a Veteran he would be at the peak of his physiology in terms of growth! In my mind 90mm=6ft, so 120mm=8ft in this scenario. The Primarchs were 3meteres+ depending on which character!

Cheers

Glen
