US M1917 helmet versus British helmet

I am doing some conversion work to a Naked Army 1/6th scale figure. Are the 2 helmets listed in the title fundementally the same inside and out? The figure is an Aussie in N Africa.

Hi, David!

Yes, you're right, it's the same helmet, only difference is the change of liner system and use of webbing chinstrap.

I have ordered the British helmet for this project. I may make the liner out of epoxie putty to get scale effect.
