This is a lot of little stuff; so I will respond to the largest interest, first; and then go down the list to a point where it is not worth the trouble of going to the post office.

The cost of USPS Priority Mail shipping from zip code 21113 is extra.

Payment is Paypal

Please do not respond to this forum.

If you are interested send me an e-mail with enough information to calculate shipping and I will respond with a shipping quote if the item is available.

I guess someone buying the lot snubbed me out of what I emailed for last night?

All gone

Yup. You and me both. The seller is certainly within his rights to sell his items as he sees fit but I will not bother responding to this kind of sale again.

A lot of folks were disappointed

July 30 2012, 11:55 PM

Since I try to price stuff between the two points of (1) where it is worth someone's effort to not do business with a business and (2) the point where me throwing it in the trash is less of a hassle than dealing with buyers; I always seem to be sending "sorry" e-mails to people (sometimes it seems like it is always the same people) during every sale. And although I was more up front in my original post about how this one was going to go than I usually am, making this as less of a hassle for me is always close to being equal in value to whatever pocket change comes my way from doing this. Having said that then, let me say that I respect your decision not to pursue any more items I may offer up on this message board, because I completely understand the value of certainty that comes from buying from solid retailers like Spruebrothers or Hobbyeasy.

Don't worry about it James...

July 31 2012, 1:29 AM

You were completely up front about how you were going to run this sale.
No worries.

I was hoping to get some tracks but did not. Maybe next time.

Cheers,
Steve

James is always great to deal with

July 31 2012, 9:59 AM

I've been on this site for a few years now and had the pleasure to deal with a lot of guys here. By and large they have been friendly, honest, and fair (and even very understanding when I sell kits and I don't get them shipped right away!) My dealings here have been much, much nicer than many ebay transactions. And just like everyone else, sometimes I'm fortunate to score a great deal, and other times I miss out.

The great thing about this site is that there is a never ending array of new stuff for sale. Whenever James posts I'm always interested in having a look. In my experience, James has been wonderful to deal with whether I scored some kits or not.

Cheers,

Chris

I have no 'dog in the fight' as I wasn't attempting to buy anything

July 31 2012, 9:59 AM

from him but I see no problem with James' handling of his sale. He was up front with his sales intentions, plus no one has any 'duty' to sell items to one person or another. It's their choice, just like it's someone's choice not to buy from someone also...

Regards.

I thought it was very ingenious

July 31 2012, 11:34 AM

Sell to the guy offering to buy the lion's share first makes a great deal of sense. More bang for your buck, so to speak.

Keeps one from having to mail a dozen small orders, waiting for separate payments, multiple trips to the post office.

If there's just a couple things you really want bad, you might opt to buy more items to you better your odds.

Don't sweat it!!!!

July 31 2012, 10:28 AM

I have come to learn that no matter how hard you might try, you will never please everyone! Don't let it get under your skin! I have never had a problem with dealings with you and NO, I did not get any of the four items I was hoping for! Those are the breaks! That is why there is EBAY and the IPMS/USA Nationals!

Sale

August 1 2012, 12:06 AM

All,

I have no beef with James and I'm suppose the other would-be buyers don't either. What I wrote previously was not meant to be a criticism of anyone. I thought I was going to be able to buy some accessories but it did not work out the way I hoped. No more, no less. I'm sure James is a great guy and I wish him well. I will just stick to straight-up individual buys or lot buys from now on, that's all.

Thanks all
