Peter's daughter says...

My dad is Peter Catterall.

He collapsed last Tuesday and was found by my sister, Sara, concious but confused.

We estimate he had been laid on the floor for 4 hours. At the hospital his heart stopped twice so he was ventilated.

He is on ICU and remains close to death. Doctors say there is a ten percent chance of recovery and we are all clinging on to that.

Anyone who knows dad will appreciate what an awkward sod he is, so fingers crossed (and everything else too), that he will get better.

The confusion re his death was down to me. I had texted a friend who had lost his dad recently to say "he'll be with your dad soon" as doctors had told us he was close to death.

The friend misinterpreted this and the rest is history.

There was no offence caused and if dad does get better he will find it highly amusing,
