... they did a lot of obscure rockabilly, but they also wrote some of their own stuff. Their 'Muskrat Walk' was brilliant.
With regards to getting your head kicked in...
... I saw quite a few scrapes in the eighties! Always managed to avoid them myself.
Two bands that have stood the test of time (early eighties until the present)that I would highly recommend are 'The Firebirds' and 'The Jets'.
