Response to THE PLAYERS LOST US THE GAME |
|
I'm not altogether a fan of Hutch, but I'm far from convinced that sacking him is the solution.
First of all lets consider the signings he brough ti: all decent players, and a damn sight better than PJ did. In fact Jewell was always too busy telling us how nobody with any class wanted to come here, and we were all impressed when Hutch proved that wrong.
Second: It takes any manager a time to get thinsg working his way. Cant recall jewells record over the same period when he joined us, but there were plenty screaming for his head when we lost to Canvey Island. The chairman had faith for once instead of firing off managers at the drop of a hat, and the rest is hsitory.
Thirdly: who the hell would we get?
Take a look at Noblot to see how many top managers are not queuing up to take over struggling, unfashionable norther Premier clubs. How pleased are they with their stunning, top drawer new manager?
On that basis, who the hell is going to come here?
Sacking the manager will not lead to us attracting a Martin Jol or a Graeme Souness any more than we are about to sign Drogba or Rooney to rescue us.
We would almost certainly, without a doubt end up with Jumping Johnny Benson.
Anyone rally fancy the rest of the season with that Jonah incharge?
I'd rather see a good honest attempt by Hutch fail than see that tosser drag us down and blame the fans.
