With regard to him not losing a match until January, we should have walked the league that year as he had more money at his disposal than any manager in the lower divisions. We also only managed to pick up 5 points from a possible 30 in the first ten games after Christmas (5 draws, 5 losses). He has never had any success anywhere he's managed and only been successful behind that other leech John Bond. Simply not good enough.

I think most people have a problem with his alledged background activities and the fact that he is reported to be the eyes and ears for Whelan which neatly brings us back to the original problem.

Dave Whelan has achieved things none of us old gits would have believed possible in 1993 which I'm sure all Latics fans, new and old, will always be grateful to him for, but I now belive he is hindering the progress of the club. Discuss
