in question was only constructed after we'd entered the football league. Prior to that, the Springfield End was like the Shevington End with a small terrace at the bottom and a grass verge at the back of it.

Therefore it's even more bewildering that terracing and barriors installed in 1980 should be condemned less than 15 years later as unsafe.
