i have a V.7 or SCPH-39001 model PS2, bought it in like 2002, in about the end of 2005 it stopped reading DVDs, and CDs, a while later stopped reading PSX games, near mid 2006, it started having trouble reading PS2 games, now it barely reads PS2 games i have taken the cover off and cleaned the eye a few times, in browser, when a game is inserted it says "reading disc..." for a second then disappears, like theres no game in it, i can still get it to read a game eventually, long, and frustratng process of trial and error though, i dont know if the eye or spindle is going bad or if it just needs calibration, i do play it a lot, and did since i bought it if that helps.. help me out by enlightening me about the situation |
