i have a ps2 model number spch 30003 and the rf connecter within it is dammaged can i just replace it with a working one from a fualty model if so how? and what models are compatible?
Ummmm I don't beleive any series PS2's have built in RF connectors...
PS2's usually come with a RCA AV Plug kit that Plugs into the AV Multi Out ???
A genuine or aftermarket RF Unit can be purchased tho ??
here is the picture of a customers SCPH-30003 Unit with RF Adapter that plugs into the standard AV Multi Out Plug ??? I don't see anywhere there is a "BUILT IN" RF Unit ????

Thanks for the reply but i think i may have misslead you. i am talking about the bit that you plug the lead from the tv into. The bit below the power onnection called the AV multi out. The connection within the PS2 has broken. How do i replace it and from what model can i take it from?
AHhhhhhh ok
(Grabs his demonstration unit to see how its affixed)
ahhh ok
for the first question yes you may remove the Multi Out from another PS2 and install it on this one
you have to have a steady hand and good soldering skills for this its pretty straight forward I just looked at a Version 1 and a Version 7 they both have the same connector
well take the lower half off the ps2 and de-solder everything in the square you see in teh following image
(Note this demostrational unit in the picture is a version 1 and the board may differ the multi out plug should not tho)

you only have to desolder the 4 large pegs and the 2 inner bands that you see the plug pins the outter bands are just links
