When I insert any kind of cd it'll read, but when I insert any kind of dvd format cd it will not read at all, please help.

The laser lights up red, and it spins the disks, but it clicks and that's all. When you put in a ps one game or an audio cd it spins fine and reads it fine.

Your system probably just needs a calibration and alignment of the laser eye. What it is we clean, realign and adjust the voltage on the lens itself. Of course I have no way of knowing that will correct the problem, because I haven’t looked at your system, though we have a 90% success rate on all systems.
