Here's my problem. The disc loads fine at the start. however once it gets past the browser screen this wierd clicking noise starts. Most of the time, the game loads to the Playstation 2 logo and then it returns to the browser screen. However, if it actually gets past the Playstation 2 Logo, it takes FOREVER to load. Also, if it gets to the game, all sound, except for the sound effects, stops for a second. A few minutes later the sound will resume where it left off. i decided to open my playstation and see if i could figure it out, and i think it's that the laser Isn't moving. How do i fix that?

You should try putting some grease on the 2 iron rails

I fix problems like this all the time!

this is one of the PS2s most common problems. The two rails that the laser rides on need to be greased with a white lithium grease, ex: vaseline. Put a little on a q-tip and grease both rails on top bottom and sides. Also while you are doing that clean the lens with a q-tip and rubbing alcohol, this will make the games load faster.

wierd clicking noise

I did not send in the original message, but greasing the rails sounds like a marvelous idea. I opened it up and saw that one rail had grease and the other did not. I will try this.
P.S. Does it really matter that the Sony Seal is broken if the product is out of warranty anyway?

Thanks
