Attempted PS2 fix. Need some advice.

Well, so far I haven' been able to find a post with quite the same problem. I have an old PS2 that has stopped reading DVDs entirely and recently stopped reading most games too. I searched the net and followed a few tutorials on how to realign the laser. After all was put back together and a few more adjustments were made, the system is finally spinning the discs but the laser doesn't move up or down. It simply lights up and stays in place. When in the Browser screen, there is no error message, but it will flash reading disc over and over until I open the tray again. So, I've gotten it at least trying to play the discs, but I'm not sure what to try from here. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Unfortunately you have possibly decalibrated your laser. Since I do not know where it is at, I can not help you online. But what i can do is provide you a repair service for only $20. It will cost you that and the shipping & handling. Or, if you would like I can sell you a working Ps2 for $55.00 with cables or $40.00 system only. My e-mail is hd_refurb@yahoo.com
