So many wonderful memories of Mickie

I will miss her terribly. Our friendship goes back almost 30 years, when she was Mickie Potter and I was Patti Cook. We had some wild times over the years, let me tell you, Mickie can party!

Our class judge for our show in 2007 had to cancel at the last minute, a week before the show, due to an illness in his family. Mickie stepped up joyfully to judge our show, even though she was "between" chemo treatments. Insisted she felt fine. We had such a good time.

I wish I had a video of when the judging started. After the national anthem, we took the mike and I had a group of others in on it, and we sang M-I-C-K-I-E...B-R-O-W-N.......Like the Mickey Mouse theme. She stood there surprised, and laughing. And at dinner that night, we all had such a good time, telling some of the "newer" ones some of our old stories. One favorite was when she was in town and we went to an out door concernt, with Bo Diddley, Johnny Rivers, etc. We had a bottle of home made moon shine that a fellow member's husband made. We kept making trips to the parking lot to refill our cups. Needless to say, we ended up in front of the stage, dancing like teenagers....till security escorted us back to our seats.

Mickie, God bless you, you will be missed terribly.
