first off, there were parents from both vp and vr sitting on both sides of the stands, now historically, most of these kids all are friends off the ice, go to school together and the parents all know each other, i said for the most part. several kids and parents don't know each other. What burns my *** is why adults have to act this way in front of each other and the "kids" who are 16/17 years old. grow up. and to the VR kid who stirs shi* thinking he represents all of the VR, QUIT IT. you dont represent what the large majority of VR think. i appologise to everybody who thinks the little loud mouth represents what the rest of VR think. UNFORTUNATELY both side got there backs up and it turned physical, it was poorly referee'd and to be honest with you the parents in the stands were the worst because they acted less mature than the "kids " on the ice. VR/VP parents and kids have been UNFAIRLY criticised here, emotions ran a little high here, lets just put it aside and get back to reality. unfortunately, now because of this fiasco, VR will be short handed for the first 3 games of the next round due to situations on the ice that led to suspensions that rose from what i think were due to gthl policy on how referee's call and handle games. it's just too bad that the kids wont be able to play hockey as a team because of it. i am not minimizing the events that unfolded last night. just saying had it been "ref'd" differently, the teams that move forward would have the opertunity to play to thier potentials, fully strengthed.
