Injuries

I have a problem with this as well. I coach minor lacrosse (Bantam) and I also coach Hockey at the same level. I don't want to make a call as to who is injured and who is not. If one of my kids goes down I am out on the floor. I don't wait. I had one young lad that was severly injured with a hit to the neck. Fans were yelling for him to get up..., He ended up coming off the floor in a stretcher and was taken to the hospital and spend 3 days there. He could not finish the season. Even the ref was telling me to take him off the floor. My wife is an ICU nurse specializing in head trauma and man it isn't something that you play with. For that reason I don't like to call dives because you just never know. I give the player the benefit of the doubt, and like I have said before a dive is usually a result of a cheap hit in the first place or the dive would not work, so the blame lay with both players.

On that note these players are just that players and they play at a high level. I think that a lot of the time players come off the floor injured and put themselves back into the line up too quickly because they are competitors..., Did you see Buck Stobart? He took a shot in the face and came off, he then went into the corner and hurt his shoulder..., He came back out again but you could tell he was hurting..., Just to go by how quickly the player returns to the bench or back into the play isn't really a good indication as to how hurt he is.

Non the less, your boys played great and ours didn't. My whole point is the series is over. I look forward to meeting up with the Lakers again next year out here.
