Just had an email saying that Area 17 events this winter had been cancelled this year due to Hoplands not being available for hire. Just been on the Hoplands website and they are not doing any clinics from 20th October. What a shame if this facility is going to be lost for hire and clinics. Does anyone know why??
Its not for sale anymore - staying with the current owners. The place is pretty much closing to the public - no more show hire or clinics. I think you can still go and hire arenas but Clear Round wont be happening this winter in the indoor. Plus the tenants have been served notice...
What a shame it is such a lovely facility. We are losing venues all the time at the moment - Langford Farm is up for sale at the moment as well so we shall have to wait and see what happens with that. I am surprised at Hoplands as they spent so much in upgrading the facilities I thought they wanted it as an Olympic training venue.
