I was amused to find my foals drying themselves off in a sunbeam after a very wet Wednesday night.
They have a perfectly good stable to stand in, but prefer to stay out in the rain!

Awwwwlovely pictures. we all worry about giving them shelter etc in bad weather but they hardly seem to use it and they would rather stand outside getting wet and eat instead lol
they are very cute, are they your foals by dunedin if i remember right? i just got my foal (their uncle!) home on thursday night and he's settled in really well
Yes, Sam, they are my 3 Dunedin babies.
We are thrilled to bits with them.
They all 3 seem to have inherited their sire's laid back temperament.
Still a bit scatty though, perhaps its having 3 together. My poor spaniel gets huffed on a lot, but it is his choice to keep going to talk to them in their field.
The dun is the really friendly one, but he was an only foal to his previous owner and had already been well handled.
The dark bay is coming along nicely, but the bright bay will come to call then dash off again. We are getting there though, he peaks over the back of his braver sibling, close enough to stroke, but ready to fly off!
Our NF yearlings are a huge pleasure, in fact my husband is so "bonded" with Willow - the liver chestnut filly - that it is positively embarrassing!
I hope all goes well with their "uncle", what have you called him?
he is called Burley Dundee but havent thought of a stable name for him yet, 'Ollie' is a possible, what are yours called? (sorry if you already said). I measured him today at about 12.2hh!! which seems pretty huge to me for 6month old as my last foal was about 11.2h at the same age and is now 13hh 1 year on.
The dun is the biggest and the youngest, he is only just over 5 months. He is called Oakfield Magnum, aka Magnum.
The dark bay is Furzey Lodge Dunnock = aka Dunnock, he is 2 days older than Magnum.
The lighter bay with the pangare markings (mealy muzzle, paler tummy) with a triangular snip right on the end of his nose - he is Mallards Wood Rowan - aka Rowan. He is just coming up to 6 months old.
I haven't managed to measure them yet, but Magnum is a very big boy.
We bought Dunnock and Rowan when they were only real babies and so we were allowed to choose their names.
Magnum came with his name, but it suits him.
I am glad you are so thrilled with your boy, I have been watching him grow up as I ride past his field several times a week. He looks gorgeous, you are very lucky.
Theresa, Gill's sister has a very beautiful dark brown filly in the field on the opposite side of the road, and she is huge too. Maybe it is the year of the well grown foal - masses of good grass and high quality milk!!!!
