Pippa, there has been a lot of discussion on here about Equine Dentists and if you go a few pages back you will find it. Suffice it to say that the recommended equine dentists are listed on the BEVA website: http://www.beva.org.uk/taxonomy/term/100

If you want more information, look at the entry under Equine Health Matters on the left hand menu here on NFED.

By the way, we are not able to recommend anyone who doesn't advertise on the NFED Directory, as the advertisers fund the site.

I would urge people to only use the term Equine Dental Technican (EDT) as generally only unqualified persons call themselves "Equine Dentists". I would recommend you only use an equine Vet or a BAEDT qualified EDT. The list of those qualifed BAEDT memebers can be found at www.baedt.com/members.php. Please read the Equine Dentistry information sheet in the Equine Health Matters section on the left hand side of this webpage for more information and a list of the equine veterinary practices.

The opinions that I express on these forums are my own personal view and should in no way be construed necessarily as being the same as those
of the veterinary profession or Seadown Veterinary Group. Where I offer advice on veterinary matters (be it clinical, welfare or legal issues)i is my personal opinion that I am expressing. I try at all times to ensure that any advice given is based on current accepted veterinary "best practice".
My reason for posting on these forums is to ensure that horse owners have as much information as possible to allow them to make informed decisions regarding the health and welfare of their horse(s). The well being of your horse(s) is my main concern
As entitled as I am to my opinion, so are other people (both members of the public and veterinary profession) and these opinions will not always be in agreement with mine.
