I would just like to let everyone know what a great help Sarah has been over the last couple of weeks. I had a mare a foal come over to me in France that had had practically no handling and was very wary of people. She arrived stressed and defensive and simply did not want anything to do with anyone. I couldn't catch her or even get that close, if I did I was subjected to a frenzy of kicking.
With Sarah's long-distance advice through a phone call and emails we are now making good progress despite having had a rather rocky start. We even managed a successful front feet trim with the farrier on saturday which was something I didn't think we'd achieve this year in all honesty!
Sarah's methods work and I, for one, am very greatful as in all the years that I've had new forest ponies this mare has been my biggest challenge.
