Navy blue Champion riding hat with fixed peak & silver stripe.

Last seen today falling off of the trailer mudguard between the Weirs & Hinchelsea bends.

If anyone gets offered one, please note it may be damaged & shouldn't be worn, but we would like it back if possible.

Thank you

Steve

Riding hat lost in Brockenhurst

Are you sure its not you,Steve? I drove off accross Lyndhurst Racecourse, years ago, with my wax jacket on the front of the landrover. It was lost for three weeks, during which time I put a notice up in the Post Office(pre internet).I got a call from the lady who found it ,so a happy ending.Hope you find your hat. Do you throw Claire around like he does Jayne?

These things do turn up sometimes. We found a saddle pad hanging on the gorse on Longslade & recognised it as Robert M's, he'd lost that on the Weirs drifts a couple of weeks before, so fingers crossed.

Found it! It's a bit wet & scuffed but will do for a while.

Steve you can't be as bad as me...

I'd once borrowed Peter's Discovery to drive to work and had gone down the lane, through the village and several miles along the by-pass. Going along a busy main road someone behind started flashing his lights at me - I had a look to see if I'd got the fog lights on or something but couldn't see a problem. Didn't want to stop in case he was a wierdo so carried on a bit further, up a steep hill, stopped, got out and walked round to the back. There sitting on the back step was my handbag that I must have put on in the garage for a second and forgotten about - and I'd driven miles! If it had fallen off I would never have had a clue seeing as I never even knew it was on. As I said to Peter though I'm obviously a really steady driver!

Talking about forgetting you've left something, I once parked my very first dog on sit-stay outside a big shopping centre. Went out of a different exit, some time later, and about an hour after that started wondering where the dog was!

Bless him, he was still sitting patiently where he'd been told to stay - and had made a lot of friends and got a lot of fussing-up while he waited. I have never made that mistake again!

OK, so I guess I could confess that on Monday I took the lab with me down the yard at 7am (none of the others wanted to come - wise dogs happy.gif), then on the way home popped to the shop to get ciggies and eye drops, then home mid-morning for toast/coffee and get on with my day. At about 4pm I decided to go back down to the horses, went out to the car and heard a mysterious 'thump, thump' from the back (the windows are blacked out so you cannot see in) - yes, poor Cindy labrador had been sat in the car all day and was gently wagging her tail at seeing me, and bless her, for what is normally a very destructive dog, she hadn't chewed anyhting, although was desperate for a pee! I didn't take her back down with me - thought she might prefere to go back in her kennel/run... wink.gif
