Free tea/coffee and cakes provided.
Equine vets Alan Hough and Nicola Kerbyson will discuss "Equine Dentistry-everything you need to know" and "Worm control-how to reduce it to just once a year"
All horse owners are welcome including non-clients so please bring a friend.
Please reserve your places for catering purposes with Jan/Mel on 023 80842237.
The last evening we hosted at Boldre in Feb went very well with great interaction from the audience with alot of interesting questions from new and experienced owners. These evenings are hoped to be an informal, informative and friendly event with as many questions from owners as possible. So look forward to seeing you all there.

Bumped for those interested in learning all about worm egg counts and the targeted approach to worming. We will show how you could save a large amount on worming each year and ensure your horse is still protected from worms. Also at both evenings we will be offering a specially discounted Year worming package which includes 4 pre-paid worm egg counts for the price of 3, a tube of Equest Pramox (hopefully the 1 and only tube of wormer you will need for the year) and a Free Weigh Tape

Well I shall bring Steve to the Hordle one, as he will be a free man then, and have no excuses!!...I went to last one and it was really well worth going to, very interesting, learnt a lot, and hope to learn even more at this one

Great atmosphere, very happy to ask questions and not be made to feel like..'why dont you know that already?!', like some talks do. Highly recommend it!!

Bumped as still some places available. There was a very good turn out for the worming talk with the riding club recently with a lot of people taking up the targeted approach to worm control after the talk.
I would again encourage all horse owners both new and experineced to consider coming along and listen to this approach to worming aswell as getting a insight into exactly what goes on with our horses teeth and why they need regular treatment by properly qualified individuals.
These evenings have also proved to be a very popular social event for people to meet and chat other horse owners form the area. You dont need to be a cleint to attend so just contact the surgery to reserve your places.

A recommended evening :-)

I can highly recommend this!! happy.gif
I think its a good idea to book your seats, as there are very informative hand outs, and you really don't want to be behind the person in the que who gets the last of the cakes, ( and if they don't know your coming, they may not bake enough!! ) Very good social too :-)XX

I went to the Copythorne one, and I found it very good and informative! I took my OH who is more into motorbikes and he found the dentistry talk fascinating (and has now started opening my filly's mouth and counting her teeth sad.gif )
The worming talk was great, and I will be up at Seadown next week with a bag of poo............ wink.gif

I went to the one in hordle last night, but could only stay for the dentistry part as it started getting late for Daisy as she had school the next day, but it was really interesting, Daisy made lots of notes so i'm sure Tibby will be getting her teeth checked later lol.
