Only a week to go now!! I'm really looking forward to it
Just a reminder for those that are going to watch and those that are showing, you can see the list of NFEDers that are competing by following this link:
I got one entered in the 2 year old sport horse class but she won't be going if the weather's foul. Not having the luxury of stables, she will have to be produced out of the field and if it's 'orrible on Monday I won't be able to get her looking like anything so she won't be going.
everything is wrong for us atm..(not herbie though was planning to turn him away anyway but now everythings tits up weve turned him away earlier) the wednesday were still unsure about too but we dont want to miss the whole thing

Ems just seen your news, that wonderful can,t wait to see you there. What day and what time? Cant come round and ask you as been in bed since Sunday, someone let a pig in our house!!!!
I hope it will stop raining soon the forecast is not good for the next few days. I am remembering two years ago with all that mud, mind you it was fun, I have never seen anything like it before or since.
Sal: What mare and foal are you taking? Tinks and Jewel? I do hope the weather is kind to us all - nothing worst then showing in inhand trying to stay upright in the mud hanging onto a youngster!

We are taking Haywards Destiny (aka DEE DEE) and her filly foal Jemima who is by Elton!
It is the quietest foal you have ever met!!
jenny you are welcome to come and see the babies anytime!
Is Jemima 'ginges' sister from last year? If so he was so quiet as well. Just what you need for lots of pats from people at the NF show. Great advertisment for the breed (and Elton's temperment).
I will be there on the Wed in the Sec D 4yo > with Brynaur Tywysog, Eywas Bay Lady and her foal Halloran The Hellraiser. I will also be in the Ridden Sec C & D with Brynaur Tywysog
Thanks Ems,i think im getting there still not right though! Got to be alright by Tuesday then can,t wait to see you jump. If i don,t see you before all the very best of luck!!
Our black 3 year old filly Wicklea Wynonna is there on Wednesday doing the Riding pony youngstock 11.30am Show Ring 2 class H99, and then the PBA youngstock at 3.15pm class H43 in same ring.

I'm taking my Georgie to do the Forest Bred NFP Mare, 4 years and over class on the Wednesday morning. This is my first time at the NFS; does anyone have any helpful tips?
Good Luck to everyone who's competing over the three days, fingers crossed the weather holds out for you all.
I usually steward there, but decided to give it a miss this year, so remember to be nice to all of the stewards as they do it in their free time, it feels very odd not being there today. Am going tomorrow as a spectator though
I might be wrong; I think maybe you just wear a certain colour arm band if your pony is forest bred. The detail on the NFS website have been removed and the paperwork that comes through doesnt include details on the class i've entered.
I think there are 3 different coloured arm bands, one for forest bred, one if you are a member of one of the NFP groups and one for novices but all info seems to have dissapeared.
Any info would be greatfully appreciated as I havnt been able to get hold of anyone over the last week or so to talk to at the NFS phone number. Georgie is also on the border line of the 2 classes so I have put her in the smaller one but also havnt been able to get hold of any one to check this..... arghhh stress
We are there tomorrow for the Spotted and Foreign Breeds classes. Any news on how the Horsebox parking is holding up. Hoping the wind and a dry day has kept things fairly dry there ?
Good luck Pam, who are you taking? We are bringing the old man out for the Foreign breeds ( he was loving his bath/trim etc today), and a spotted colt we have here at show livery. Will look out for you.
Sorry guys, didn't make it to the show! Am gutted! Left home at 4am to go and Rog felt unwell so it was safer to come home. Hope you all had a good day! How did you do? Kirsty got 3rd in the shetland brood mare and foal class(she went with Caroline). I'll let Caroline post her fab results.
Well we won the Shetland brood mare class with our smashing mare Clibberswick Hello and her foal Foxsedge Hermes (aka Pinky), we also took the Wessex Group Rosette and the Best Local Exhibitor Rosette.
We all had a lovely day, missed the company of some good friends though , but, at least the rain held off for our classes.
Sorry to hear you didn't make it Pam. Hope Rog is feeling better now.Elp was 3rd in the Foreign breeds ( 11 horses in the class and he was the only one under 15.2 !) The spotted colt won the youngstock class and went reserve Champion !! Mind you, it was the first time in a long showing career that I have been in a class held in the collecting ring ?? ! Still, a very good day though.
