I had a lovely day as this was the biggest show I had ever taken my little Georgie too.
I was meant to be taking her into the NFM 138cm and under class but due to a mixture of a upset stomach and traffic I just missed my class. The steward kindly let me into the 138cm and over class as she was just on the border line of sizes, so I was so chuffed to be able to do this. There were 23 in the class and we got pulled in at the end (which was fine as we were one of the smallest in the class and it was great that Georgie just behaved herself and gained experience). After doing our individual show we were pulled in 7th out of 23 and won the highest placed New Forest bred Rosette and were the highest placed Novice. I was absolutely amazed and nearly cried ..... I'm soooooooooo very proud of my little girl, she was an absloute star.
We also got to go into the Forest Bred Championship, so if anyone has any photos of us it would be greatly appreciated as the couple of professional ones that were taken wernt that great and they didnt take any in the line ups
christmas did both ex - racer classes in the flat class the judge liked the more chunkier heavier type tb's christmas got placed 11th out of about 19 which i was so pleased with as he cantered on the right leg in his individual show and went round lovely for the judge and wasnt phased by having a horse rear up in front of him dumping his rider a few feet from christmas's hoofs. In the workers he was 1 point away from 6th place but jumped a lovely clear round which was more than i was hoping for. i really didnt think he was gonna jump the flower boxes but he cleared it by miles. some pictures of the day below.
harriet got 7th in welsh cob 3yrs and under out of 11, the judge picked a lovely traditional mare which was really stocky and the rest were mainly colts.
neither of them i could fault they were both so incredibly well behaved and i had such a brilliant day with the both of them
There were some excellent results for Foresters in the HOYS Workers- in the large section NF ponies were 1st;Willoway Lord of the Rings 2nd Sabines Gold Sovereign and 3rd - Willoway Harrison. In the middle section- 2nd Woodrow Portman, 4th Rodlease Jubilation, 6th Willoway Pipers Delight. Considering there were nearly 40 in each section of all breeds that was a very good performance by our Foresters
There is a picture of portmore pickle on the Hollybrooke stud website just before he was gelded and sold on.......but it would be lovely to have a current picture of him pleasseeeeee kennypickle
