Horse Transport to Equine Hospitals

To get my horse to an equine hospital I used a person who runs their own horse transport business. Because I can claim back transport costs within my insurance claim - I asked for a receipt. This was not available at the time and I was promised it would be sent to me in the post - several weeks later and after few phone calls - still no receipt. So am now about £70 out of pocket on my insurance claim - as no receipt -you have no prove and thus unable to claim your money back.

I really do need this receipt - is there anybody that I could report this person to, as seeing they don't provide receipt they could be operating illegally!!

So if anyone has to hire person and transporter and require a receipt - ensure they are able to provide you with a receipt at the end of the journey before you book them up.

If this person is running this transportation as a business, then they should have all records of every single transportation that they do, are your insurance company not able to go to them direct. Sometimes if they have an actual 'company' constantly harrasing them for the receipt they may get off their arses and write one up for you!!
