I don't approve of forums like this because the purpose is to champion the "ideal" of being slim, rather than providing any meaningful discussion about a healthier way of eating and living.
Who says that's the purpose? I don't see any rule about that and I don't see any talk about it so far. A forum is what the contributors make it.

If you are overweight there is nothing wrong in seeing being slim as an ideal. In fact you are better off if you do see slim as ideal as you have the motivation to get there, otherwise what you do is stay overweight and don't care. That's life.
Depending on what you consider thin to be, being thin and at a healthy whate are one and the same. People often just say it diffently. I tend to think of it as thin, because I was raised by morbidly obise parents. I have there bad habbits ingraned, so just needing to buy a lorger pair of pants is a big worning syne. I am new to this forem. but I don't see anyone here tying to promote a rigid ideal.

You're right, nobody here is trying to promote any ideal. It's just about exchanging information and opinions. Anyway, it's impossible for a forum to champion a particular viewpoint, because the fact that it's a forum inevitably means that anything discussed here is open to different opinions.
Why pop onto the forum and leave your negative statements anonymous to people who will not agree with you other wise they wouldnt be here
Pop along and leave your thaughts on the sado forum-oh there isnt one-well u could make one

People nowadays seem to be so much concerned about their fat deposits and for this they can go almost to any extent to have the problem treated. Little do they realize that they were better off if they had been prepared themselves so that this situation never raised at all
