What do you guys think, do you think it was cheating? You recall that celebrity fitclub member Anne Diamond had a lap band fitted and failed to tell the programme producers until the 5th week of the show. There was uproar here in the UK, and unbelievably I even saw them debating it on the ITV news ....was it really such a big deal?

I personally would never choose surgery (too much of a coward, for one thing!), but I don't think she should be lambasted for it. Although 'diet' per se forms a significant part of the programme, the main thrust is the 'FIT' club ideal IMO, so I feel she should be allowed to get on with it.
Or is the aim of the game just to watch people suffer their way to weight loss, in which case I don't think she has managed to escape - do you?

It was annoying to the other competitors. I didn't see that show, but I heard about it. What happened in the end, did she get kicked off the show?

I don't think I'd ever have any kind of surgery unless it couldn't be avoided. As for reality TV, it all seems to be going a bit far. It's hard to believe how seriously people seem to be taking reality TV now.
