F-16C Block 42 Serial Number 90-0737 serves as the flagship of the 56th Fighter Wing at Luke AFB in Glendale, Arizona. Here’s my completed model of the aircraft as it looked on February 12, 2008.

The actual jet is nicely detailed, with a plated and polished gun port cover, highly polished turkey feathers, and even chrome hub covers on the main gear wheels. Crew names are painted in blue script with yellow shadows. Even the boarding ladder, tool box, fire cart and wheel chocks are specially colored and marked for the Wing Commander’s aircraft.

This morning I had the pleasure of presenting this model to Brig. Gen. Noel T. “Tom” Jones, the outgoing Commander of the 56th FW. He seemed very pleased with it...

...even on closer inspection.

He said the model will have a place of honor in his office at his new duty station.

Altogether, it was a pretty good morning.

Regards,
Bruce

To post an image of your models, you will first need to find somewhere to host your photos on the Internet. Your ISP will often give you a limited amount of free web storage, and other online photo storage is also available.

To post a link or an image, simply type in the URL (web address) of the destination page or image. The URL will appear as a link (for an HTML link) or an image (if you link direct to a .jpg file) when posted. You can use the Preview facility to see how your message looks before posting to Plastic Pix.

Please try to keep image sizes to 800 pixels wide or less, as larger sizes will be too big to fit on many computer screens. Also, file sizes should be kept to around 100kb or less, otherwise download may be very slow.
