I was not really all that happy with my colour matching in the posting below, so I created a second version in monochrome.
It is not actually "black and white" as I have applied a slight orange filter for a subtle sepia effect.
I also added more blur, some noise (speckles), and made further adjustments to the contrast, brightness and general intensity.
It is not even close to perfect (my Photoshopping that is, not Frank's model), but I like this one better
Warning - composite image adjustment may be become addictive!
