THE GRIM REAPER!!!!!
[linked image]

This is Mercury Models take on the collector of souls. Hey, everyone needs a hobby, right? This kit is over 13 inches high and is cast in 7 pieces of solid resin. (yeah. It's very heavy) The arms have been pinned and super glued, the hands have been pinned, and the scythe (sp?)has been pinned and super glued together. I have a few more seams to grind and scrape and sand, some pin hole air bubbles to fill and sand, and then the best part of these kits. PAINTING!!! Total construction time to this point, about an hour. I try to build at least one of this type of model after every plane or armor or ship kit. They are a great break from tons of research and sweating over correct colours and markings and such like that there. I am going to try and get the priming done over this weekend, and then get to work on the dessicated flesh and boney bits. Cowl and robes will be various shades of super dark greys and some black, and I am going to try Bare Metal Foil's Black Chrome for the blade, with Polished Chrome for the cutting edge.

A face even a Mother would prefer to forget.

This one is not as grusome as the "Blairmonster" from John Carpenter's "The Thing" I posted a few months ago. I hope you will all enjoy this trip away from AMS, and stay tuned for further updates.

To post an image of your models, you will first need to find somewhere to host your photos on the Internet. Your ISP will often give you a limited amount of free web storage, and other online photo storage is also available.

To post a link or an image, simply type in the URL (web address) of the destination page or image. The URL will appear as a link (for an HTML link) or an image (if you link direct to a .jpg file) when posted. You can use the Preview facility to see how your message looks before posting to Plastic Pix.

Please try to keep image sizes to 800 pixels wide or less, as larger sizes will be too big to fit on many computer screens. Also, file sizes should be kept to around 100kb or less, otherwise download may be very slow.
