Based at Crete in 1941. Depicting the first type of Bf110E that saw service in the mediterranean. An auxiliary oil tank can be seen beneath the fuselage with auxiliary fuel tanks under the wings. I chose to build this one as it looked very business like and I love the shark mouth (Haifisch). The engine detail set is aftermarket and makes a nice addition but was bereft of wiring so I used lead solder for the plumbing etc. I added the flap/doors covering the engine plugs as these were not modelled separately with the Quickboost set, and just removed the relevant section from the cowling.

The airfield equipment was added to the base as a last resort as the 110 looked rather bland on its own. Base is Jelutong and I used cork matting with a layer of PVA and sprinkled sand/rocks (collected from Omaha beach!). I then highlighted with various shades of sand colours. I know the plane would probably not be 'bombed up' during maintenence but I just couldnt leave them out! Hope you like it!

-Verlinden starter cart
-Eduard maintenece ladders (from the Royal Class set)
-Quickboost engine set
-Hasegawa oil drums

To post an image of your models, you will first need to find somewhere to host your photos on the Internet. Your ISP will often give you a limited amount of free web storage, and other online photo storage is also available.

To post a link or an image, simply type in the URL (web address) of the destination page or image. The URL will appear as a link (for an HTML link) or an image (if you link direct to a .jpg file) when posted. You can use the Preview facility to see how your message looks before posting to Plastic Pix.

Please try to keep image sizes to 800 pixels wide or less, as larger sizes will be too big to fit on many computer screens. Also, file sizes should be kept to around 100kb or less, otherwise download may be very slow.
