Some work was done on this recent release on Friday. A dry fit of major components did show that the 'usual' dry fitting and correcting would be required. With some minor sanding the major cockpit components fitted quite well and I was rather impressed with their break down. Some card, soldering wire and fine brass wire was used to either add some detail or improve on what the kit provided.

This view of the port show the three-part assembly that represents and framed in (rather well) the main gear wells.

Thought a intake cover will be used on this model, the intake assembly will fit well with some work. It does included the light that is located in the splitter plate.

I am not familiar with the Bilek name. I was told this weekend that this is perhaps their first 1/48 scale kit. If so, well done and I will certainly be looking for their futures releases.

Thanks for dropping by.

Cheers, Vic

To post an image of your models, you will first need to find somewhere to host your photos on the Internet. Your ISP will often give you a limited amount of free web storage, and other online photo storage is also available.

To post a link or an image, simply type in the URL (web address) of the destination page or image. The URL will appear as a link (for an HTML link) or an image (if you link direct to a .jpg file) when posted. You can use the Preview facility to see how your message looks before posting to Plastic Pix.

Please try to keep image sizes to 800 pixels wide or less, as larger sizes will be too big to fit on many computer screens. Also, file sizes should be kept to around 100kb or less, otherwise download may be very slow.
