I too would like to know when they were taken. The F-14s look almost factory fresh.
I realize we now have the benefit of hindsight, but I found it incredible that the USA decided to provide Iran with F-14s back in the late 1970s when they were among the most advanced aircraft. The Shah was already in trouble at that time, and if baffles me to imagine what the US government could have been thinking when that decision was made. Now they are almost relics...particularly considering I doubt they have had much in the way of avionics updates...but if those photos are recent the airframes appear to be in darn good condition.
It would have been interesting if the aircraft in the pictures had the upgraded engines that were used in the F-14d. That really would have gotten people thinking....right?
To post an image of your models, you will first need to find somewhere to host your photos on the Internet. Your ISP will often give you a limited amount of free web storage, and other online photo storage is also available.
To post a link or an image, simply type in the URL (web address) of the destination page or image. The URL will appear as a link (for an HTML link) or an image (if you link direct to a .jpg file) when posted. You can use the Preview facility to see how your message looks before posting to Plastic Pix.
Please try to keep image sizes to 800 pixels wide or less, as larger sizes will be too big to fit on many computer screens. Also, file sizes should be kept to around 100kb or less, otherwise download may be very slow.
