August 6 2012 at 5:28 PM   (Login barrowb98) HyperScale Forums from IP address 68.84.237.54 Normally I wouldn't post photos of a model this early in construction, but it's been quite a while since I've had (1)a functioning camera, (2) a dedicated, semi-clean work area suitable for taking pictures, (3) the desire to work on a model and photograph it, and (4) possessed all of the previous 3 at the same time. Kit is, of course, the Tamiya P-47, I'm using the P-47M boxing, but it will be built as a late D-30. Tamiya's M kit contains all the necessary parts to build pretty much any Bubbletop D variant. Still a little bit of work to do in the cockpit, some detail painting on the sidewalls, a few more instrument decals and placards, a couple more layers of weathering, but it's shaping up nicely, I think. This will be a testbed for a new NMF technique that I want to use when I build my Tamiya 1/32 P-51D, and I felt I needed to test it out first to make sure I had the hang of it. To post an image of your models, you will first need to find somewhere to host your photos on the Internet. Your ISP will often give you a limited amount of free web storage, and other online photo storage is also available.

To post a link or an image, simply type in the URL (web address) of the destination page or image. The URL will appear as a link (for an HTML link) or an image (if you link direct to a .jpg file) when posted. You can use the Preview facility to see how your message looks before posting to Plastic Pix.

Please try to keep image sizes to 800 pixels wide or less, as larger sizes will be too big to fit on many computer screens. Also, file sizes should be kept to around 100kb or less, otherwise download may be very slow.
