A while back I posted some pictures of my Vosper MTB, in 1/35 scale. It is the Italeri kit. I have started adding the crew so I thought I would post a few more pictures.

They are from ADV/Azimut, and the "Wee Friends" range of figures, painted with acrylics.

Thank you all for the kind words. Still some more crew to add before she's done.

I'm in the middle of building one of these at the moment,

August 10 2012, 8:56 AM

but I hope someone releases a crew for a boat based in the Med, so they'd be in shorts and shirts etc.

Your boat looks really good.

Regards

Graeme

Actually, this model represents a Malta based boat. I was told that winter nights in the Med can be quite cold and that heavy sweaters and duffle coats would be worn. But, some dedicated crew would be nice. I was surprised that Italeri didn't release any, like they did for their other boats.

Do all those crew figures come with the kit, they look great?

No they didn't. The figures are resin, made by two different manufacturers, ADV/Azimut from France, and Wee Friends from England.

That is superb, I particularly like your figures, the finishing of them is masterly. I tackled this boat in 72 scale, but I think I must try the bigger scale. You might already know but there is a chap in Germany who manufactures scale ropes made the traditional way, I got some from him, and they add a most realistic touch, casually looped around the decks, as in real life. Anyway congratulations again. Alan F. Smith

To post an image of your models, you will first need to find somewhere to host your photos on the Internet. Your ISP will often give you a limited amount of free web storage, and other online photo storage is also available.

To post a link or an image, simply type in the URL (web address) of the destination page or image. The URL will appear as a link (for an HTML link) or an image (if you link direct to a .jpg file) when posted. You can use the Preview facility to see how your message looks before posting to Plastic Pix.

Please try to keep image sizes to 800 pixels wide or less, as larger sizes will be too big to fit on many computer screens. Also, file sizes should be kept to around 100kb or less, otherwise download may be very slow.
