Today i was out hunting in my front woods. For some reason today, the squirrels were very aggressive and were battleing , Grays Vs. Blacks for feeder rights. it was funny to watch. there were 3 gray squirrels that were fending off 6-7 black squirrels. saddly i had to end there party. i went to church then came back to my house. i was trying to find where they all went so i started scanning the trees. a saw a gray run down a pine tree so i grabbed my crosman 1377 and ran out. i quietly snuck into my front 2 acres of woods. i could not bealive it.... in a tree all by its self they they were all greys and blacks fighting still, i snuck 40 ft. away and shot at the biggest gray, i missed but by inches. at the sound of gun fire they all paniced, squirrels flying everwhere! there was only one hole in this big oak. the biggest black squirrel took advantage of it and went in the hole, but there was a problem, the fattie got stuck in the hole, so no other squirrel could climb in. they all paniced and ran around the tree. I took aim THu-Whack! the sound that all air gun hunters know when they hit any animal. i solid hit to the head. he was still grabbing the tree barely so i quickly pumped 10 times then slamed a crosman hollow point ..... aim Thu-thack! another solid hit to the head! he droped as soon as it hit him.
the first thing i noticed about the squirrel is that it was twice as long as the 1377! amazing! i took his tail cleaned him up and and ate him for lunch.....hmmmmmmmmmmmmm... squirrel!
this was a great hunt hopefully many more will fall to my new 1377.
