Possum

I was out on my balcony one night, havin a smoke. Then out of the corner of my eye I see this big furry ass followed by a long, skinny tail go under the dumpster about 15 yards away from my position. At first glance it looked like a cat. But then again, cats dont have bald tails, so I quickly jumped into action. I went inside and grabbed the .22 Beeman SS1000H with a 3x9x32 scope and loaded it with a kodiak. Boy I was excited. I went back out on the balcony and waited for the varmint to come out from under that dumpster. He was looking for shelter because it had just rained. Even though it was dark outside, there was enough light from the streetlights to use the scope and to easily see the dumpster. So after about 20 minutes of waiting and no results, I decided that it was time to flush the critter out. So I went back inside and grabbed a couple of tangerines to throw at the dumpster and a couple of extra kodiak rounds just in case. Once back out on the balcony, I proceeded to throw tangerines at the dumpster to scare him out. Still no results. So then, getting impatient, I shot a round at the dumpster, and that seemed to work just fine. The varmint stuck his head out to check out what was going on- the fatal mistake. He stuck his head out just enough to pull off a clean temple shot, and that was that. It was quite a hunt. I went down and inspected my kill. Clean temple shot right above and beside the left eye. I picked him up by the tail and threw him in the dumpster. He was at least a 15 pounder.

Happy hunting!
