52 didnt have external oilers stock. they didnt show up until 63-65. since they're better you lucked out. around 52 they started usin aluminum lifter blocks , pans and pushrod tube covers. most of them were replaced by later stuvv as they were soft and wore out fast, scratched etc. if it's runnin and youre not goin for a resto leave it alone.
