would cause this. First, and most likely is that either the ramp that holds the clutch gear away from the assembly is worn, or the crank gear is loose or worn. Second possibility is that the bushing on the clutch gear is worn enough that it is allowing the ratchet teeth to contact each other while running. If you have the cash, do yourself a favor and order a new set of Baker Kicker gears. They cost quite a bit more, but are US made, backed by Baker, and will outlast 20 of the Taiwan made pieces of shit everyone else sells.
