Yes on the open bleeder

the old brakes are down to the rivets and about 1 month old. The new ones are new with full thickness (didnt measure it).

The brakes I originally put in were sanded and the leading edge was beveled. There was still some drag. The wheel turns 3/4 way around and then becomes real hard to turn.

When I got done on my last ride I took a infared thermometer and the drum was 203 degrees. There also was some bluing inside the drum in the inside corner. I dont see any scrape marks but somethings generating alot of heat. Enough to sizzle spit.
Its my only brake and I think I need it to work. (uneasy laughter)

I'll sand the new pads, I'm getting new springs and a anther new cylinder is on the way. My one bud thinks its the drum itself but I dont see any thing wrong with it, but I dont have anything to compare it to.

I'll post updates with more trial and error findings.

Thanks John for the reply. Oh and Richie thanks for the insight, truly remarkable. Later Paul
