Working on a kicker conversion. Open the side case and all thats inside is about 2-in. of bare mainshaft.....On that mainshaft is an indexed locktab washer and a 1-3/8-in. nut, tightened up against the mainshaft bearing.....just wondering if I need to take that nut/washer off or leave it in place before installing the starter clutch assy. and outer nut/washer......Thanks for the input.
