even if it was some kind of special version, should probably have been diluted; so many parts acid to so much water. Full strength as a stripper, ouch. Mixing the brasso and the acid wasn't a good idea either. Caustic chemicals in each that combined could make you very sick if the fumes are inhaled or if it gets on your skin. The blotches may mean the acids have leached through the chrome topcoat where the rust spots were and reacted with the nickel undercoat. That would definitely mean a trip to the chromers.
