As I found out years ago they can cause the solder to melt. Heres one I had to fix due to it melting & shorting out inside my headlight shell.

I now run the 55 watt with no problems
Same thing happened with my tail light but it melted the gasket & the plastic lens. Sure was a nice & bright light though.
