So my starter is giving me fits (I think), anyway it is basically a softail, 6 speed, evo style starter and primary. I don't remember brand of starter, but primary is HD. I stopped for gas and when I went to fire it up, the solenoid went clunk, no starter, just clunk clunk, so we push start it, stopped at a bar 30 miles down the road and it starts there, stopped for gas again later in the day, and clunk, clunk, all solenoid, no starter. stopped at a bar same thing, let the bike set for a while and it works, got home 20 minutes later, it works. It was hot yesterday, around 90, could the temp and the exhaust be heating it up and not let it work all the time, I've never had a starter work off and on, usually they just stop working, is it the starter or? The wiring doesn't have any circuit breakers or anything, I have everything running through a fuse block, no relays or anything, no handlebar switches. super simple wiring, key switch and a starter button located on a bracket hanging off the top motor mount. Any ideas, I am to out of shape to keep push starting this, and I don't have the coin for a kicker kit yet. Thanks for the help in advance.
